Everest trekking season – When is the best time for trekking in the Everest region?

Aside from the beautiful mountain scenery, travelers to this region can experience unique Sherpa culture by visiting monasteries, museums’ and local villages. The splendid mix of natural beauty, one of a kind culture coupled with Nepalese hospitality, makes trekking in the Everest region as one of world’s most unforgettable experience.
While trekking in ‘Everest Region’ is possible all year round, the best time to Everest trekking season is from the beginning of March to May and from September to December.

From March to May, the weather starts to get warmer with only the occasional brief shower. It is often quieter than the other peak season of September to November. During April and May all the Everest climbers arrive at base camp to set up their summit attempts.

However, September to November is dry season compared to other times of the year, making it the high peak season for trek to Everest region.

December reaches below-zero temperatures but the days are still beautiful and there are fewer trekkers (but remember to wrap up warm in the evenings).
